A very special milestone
Your baby is turning one!! This is a memory you'll never want to forget. One is such a fun age, the laughs, the personality, the wobbly walking, maybe a few teethy pegs poking through, little memories & details that are so beautiful to capture.
Whether it's a cake smash you're after, or just a normal birthday shoot without the messy cake, the price for either option is the same, and my birthday sessions are completely focused on your little one having fun. There's no distracting busy props or bold colours, just a timeless, elegant set up, keeping the focus exactly where it belongs - on celebrating your babies first birthday.
£50 for a one hour single photoshoot.

'Simply One'
Cake Smash option
The session begins with timeless family portraits, followed by individual photographs of your little one before it's time for the fun. Your baby can explore & play with their cake at their own pace, capturing all the smiles, curiosity & messy moments. Once the cake is complete, we finish with an adorable bubble bath in a miniature tub, where your little one can splash, play & get cleaned up while we capture even more sweet smiles & giggles.
Birthday option without the cake
The mess isn't for everyone, and thats ok! Not all babies enjoy cake, or sticky fingers. So if you'd rather opt for a plain birthday session, we can still get those gorgeous family photos, portrait shots & some birthday shots too with cute little balloons & a little One hat.
FAQ's
What to bring
Yourself, a cake, and an outfit for the cake smash. And that's it.
I have an entire wardrobe filled with baby clothes from newborn - 12 months, so if you'd like to borrow an outfit for babies portrait/family photos before the messy cake begins, you're more than welcome to!
I don't provide outfits for the cake smash part of the shoot (the outfits would be constantly ruined haha).
I'll provide all the balloons filled with helium, & a towel to dry your little one off after their bath too.
What to dress baby in
Of course you know i'm going to say neutrals. Browns, creams, whites, beiges, they always work best with my warm cosy lighting & style of work.
But of course you can bring baby in whatever you'd like!
Do I bring the cake?
Yes. For allergy reasons please bring your own cake, it would be almost impossible for me to keep a track of babies intolerances & allergens when doing 15 cake smashes a week, so this is the safest option.
Tips - don't buy anything fancy or expensive... it gets smashed!!
& looks wise of course you're welcome to choose any cake you'd like, but i'd always recommend a naked cake. The cake shown in the photos above is x2 basic £2.50 victoria sponge cakes layered on top of eachother, then covered with £3 betty crocker vanilla icing, just using a spoon to spread it on, it's simple, cheap & beautiful!
